Ukrainians who find jobs and enroll their children in Romanian schools will receive 2000 lei (400 euros) per family by the end of 2023.

Private individuals who will house Ukrainian migrants will receive monthly compensation from the state:

  • for housing - 50 lei per person per day;
  • for food - 20 lei per person per day.

From May 1, the 50/20 program will be changed. Ukrainian refugees, as before, have the right to receive the sums due to them for accommodation and meals for the duration of their stay until April 30.

The aid is granted without any conditions for 4 months and can be extended until the end of 2023, if the refugees participate in certain activities related to their integration process (for example, registration with the Employment Agency - AJOFM).

Additional laws will soon be passed to clarify the procedure for receiving the monthly allowance of 2,000 lei, as well as the conditions that refugees must fulfill in order to receive the allowance after the 4-month period. More information here mceclip0.png.
