Hungary has simplified the process for pets entering from Ukraine. Until further notice, an entry registration form can be considered equal to the so-called "prior authorization" application. This will allow entry, traceability of the animals, other actions if needed. Find the registration form here .
Many veterinary offices help to arrange vaccination and paperwork for animals joining their people from Ukraine. The mandatory rabies vaccinations and the microchip are free for people with Ukrainian passports.
How can I get vaccination for my pet on the go?
You can get your pet vaccinated at Bok-csarnok , which is a transit area in Budapest where you will be taken upon your arrival at the train station. There is an Animal Aid corner where you can get the necessary support for your pet and get it vaccinated each day after 6 pm when the vet is there.

How can I get food for my pet?
You can get free food or other products for your pet at the Animal Aid at Bok-csarnok. It is a transit area in Budapest where you will be taken upon your arrival at the train station. You can go there any other time too. The address is Budapest, Dózsa György street 1, 1146.
How can I travel with my pet on a plane?
There are several airlines that allow flights with a pet onboard. It is up to each airline to establish its regulations and additional tariffs will be generally perceived. Therefore we advise you to contact with the specific airline before you travel.
The general rule is that pets (together with their crate) which remain below a certain weight may be carried in the cabin, whereas pets exceeding such threshold weight must be carried in the cargo area.
