Acceptable blood alcohol levels while driving in Moldova:

The maximum permissible blood alcohol level is 0.3 โ€ฐ .

If the blood alcohol level is between 0.3 โ€ฐ and 0.5 โ€ฐ, this is punished with a fine of 17,500 to 25,000 MDL (809 โ€“ 1,155 โ‚ฌ), whereby the right to drive a vehicle for a period of 2 to 3 years is withdrawn will.

Is it necessary to register the car in the new country of residence?

No, if it gets the regime of temporary stay. In accordance with Art. 184, Customs Code and art.10, Law 1569/2002, the term of presence on the territory of the country of the transport placed under the customs regime of temporary admission cannot exceed 180 days of a period of 12 consecutive months.

Is it possible to drive a car that has Ukrainian registration, but is registered not to the driver, but to another person? What documents are needed for this?

The minimum period for which you can buy a vignette for a car is 7 days. Even if the trip lasts only 1 day.

However, in accordance with no. 3 of 27.02.2022 of the Commission for Exceptional Situations of the Republic of Moldova in point 25 stipulates that persons possessing motor vehicles not registered in the Republic of Moldova, entering the territory of the Republic of Moldova or transiting it from Ukraine are not subject to the tax for using the roads of the Republic of Moldova (vignette), during the state of emergency.
